Friends & Family Elopement $500 | Getaway Elopement $200 | Studio Elopement $100

Rev. Brandon Rich, Director of Weddings & Rentals

Welcome to Belmont Mansion’s Elopement page! You may be looking for options for CMA Fest 2012 Weddings or maybe you want to get married in Nashville during a visit to one of Music City’s great attractions such as the Grand Ole Opry, the Schermerhorn Symphony Center, or TPAC just to name a few.  Regardless of what brings you to Nashville (or even if you live here in town) if you are looking for an elopement wedding, we can help! We have three elopement options for you to consider.

ELOPEMENT PACKAGE: “Friends and Family” $500 — Reservations Required

Belmont Mansion is one of the best places to elope in Nashville, TN! In addition to our traditional wedding packages we have designed an affordable option that allows you to elope or renew your vows with a few friends and family at Belmont Mansion. This package is available during times when the mansion is not open for tours and not previously booked for traditional weddings or other events.

The mansion will provide four (4) iron candelabras and candles, one changing room, use of our grand piano,  the mansion’s resident officiant, and a beautiful setting for your ceremony.  The mansion’s Director of Weddings & Rentals serves as our resident officiant and will provide the couple with ceremony sample options and will customize the vows, provided there is sufficient time between the booking and the ceremony.

Couples are responsible for obtaining a Tennessee marriage license prior to their wedding ceremony at Belmont Mansion. Marriage licenses are issued in each Tennessee County by the County Clerk. The office serving Nashville, TN is the Davidson County Clerk. Their web address is http://nashvilleclerk.com/living/marriage-license/ and their telephone number is (615) 862-6256. The Davidson County Clerk’s office is in the Howard School Office Building at 700 Second Avenue South in Nashville. Tennessee marriage licenses require the signature of the bride and groom (obtained upon application at the clerk’s office) and of the officiant and one witness (obtained immediately after the ceremony). If you need to obtain a marriage license on Saturday please contact the Cheatham County Clerk at 615-792-5179 or online at http://cheathamcountytn.gov/government/county_clerk/index.html .  Couples coming from the Memphis area, especially those in Arkansas or Mississippi, may choose to obtain their marriage license locally at the Shelby County Clerk in Memphis. You can visit their website at http://www.shelbycountytn.gov/index.aspx?NID=574 or call (901) 222-3000. Couples coming from the Chattanooga area, especially those coming from north Georgia, may want to obtain their license locally in Chattanooga at the Hamilton County Clerk. Their website is http://www.countyclerkanytime.com/marriage/default.htm or call (423) 209-6501. Couples coming from the Huntsville, AL area or the southern portion of Middle Tennessee may obtain their license locally in Pulaski, TN at the Giles County Clerk. Their website is http://www.gilescounty-tn.us/CountyOfficials.aspx and their phone number is (931) 363-1509.  Couples coming from the Ft. Campbell, KY area may obtain their marriage license locally in Clarksville, TN at the Montgomery County Clerk. Their website is http://www.mcgtn.org/clerk/marriage and the phone number is (931) 648-5711. Only Tennessee marriage licences issued within 30 days of the wedding are valid for weddings at Belmont Mansion.

Due to the nature and brevity of the event, floral and other decor is allowed only in small quantities, upon request for Getaway or Friends & Family Elopements. Additionally, photography/videography must be carefully planned and executed. The preferred vendor for both is www.LadakProductions.com. Their phone number is 615.589.9971 and their email is info@ladakproductions.com. Other photography/videography vendors must consult personally with the Director of Weddings & Rentals prior to the event date.

The mansion will allow a total of up to 20 seated guests in addition to the bridal party and any vendors.  The mansion does not provide any additional time for rehearsal. Total time allowed (arrival to departure) is 1 hour. This includes all set-up and clean-up. Neither vendors nor bridal party may arrive prior to the scheduled time.  The 1 hour allotment may be used for ceremony and photography. Photography may occur inside and outside of the mansion. We understand the nature of this type of wedding, so we will try to accommodate a couple even with one day’s notice.  All elopements will be scheduled and officiated by the Director of Weddings & Rentals. Outside officiants are allowed but the full $500 fee still applies. The couple may bring a small amount of cake and punch for an additional fee. The couple may add a rehearsal, upgraded chair covers with ties,  or additional time to their elopement rental for  additional fees. ELOPEMENT PACKAGE:  ”Getaway” $200 — Reservations Required

Our Getaway Elopement Ceremony is for the couple who wants to marry in a beautiful setting with minimal planning and expense.  Getaway ceremonies may occur at select times during daytime or evening hours,  but the location of the ceremony in the mansion (or outside the mansion), the specific time and any photography will be totally at the discretion of the Director of Weddings & Rentals in accordance with the activities of the mansion, the campus and the weather.  Possible interior getaway ceremony locations may include the Grand Salon bay window or stairs. Exterior options include the west or east gazebos, the flagstone promenade, front steps and the lawn immediately adjacent to the mansion. Getaway ceremonies are subject to the availability of the Director of Weddings & Rentals who personally schedules and officiates all of these ceremonies. When museum tours are busy, Getaway Elopements may need to held outside or delayed for a few minutes. Couples must contact the Director of Weddings & Rentals to confirm availability and schedule a time for their ”Getaway” elopement. No couples should arrive at the mansion unannounced expecting to get married without a confirmed appointment. Reservations are required.*

Getaway Elopements may be allowed during the day while museum tours are in operation provided the following requirements are met. First, the couple may bring no more than two adult witnesses; no children are permitted. Second, the couple and their one or two guests must all arrive together and promptly at the approved time.  The couple and guests must stay in designated areas of the mansion at the direction of the Director of Weddings & Rentals. Couples and their guests are asked to be respectful of museum tours and tour guides during their time in the mansion. Getaway ceremonies during tour hours are only offered to couples as a special accommodation and require strict guidelines. Finally, no outside officiants or photographers are allowed with daytime Getaway Elopements. We prefer to offer wedding options outside of our daily museum tour hours which are 10:00 am to 4:00 pm Monday through Saturday and 1:00 Pm to 4:0o PM on Sundays.

The Director of Weddings & Rentals will provide the couple with a basic religious or non-religious ceremony. Due to simplistic and brief nature of these ceremonies, no music*, decoration or food/beverage is allowed.  The couple must have their marriage license in hand and must pay their $200 fee upon arrival with cash, Visa, MasterCard or Discover. Due to nature of these ceremonies, only our  approved media vendor www.LadakProductions.com is allowed for photography, videography and staged drive-away. Their phone number is 615.589.9971 and their email address is info@ladakproductions.com.The couple will be married and will be allowed to take some interior and exterior photographs, in accordance with the mansion’s availability, but no specific amount of time is guaranteed, but you can expect between 15 and 30 minutes for photos, subject to mansion activities. Exterior photos may be taken before or after the ceremony with more freedom than interior photos. Museum tours and other functions may proceed during “Getaway” ceremonies; this ceremony is not considered a private rental of Belmont Mansion. Privacy can only be achieved if a Getaway ceremony is scheduled well before or after museum tours on a day when no other private rentals or activities are scheduled.

Couples who schedule their Getaway Elopement before or after museum tour hours (before 10:00 AM or after 4:00 PM) will be allowed  much more flexibility with regard to number of guests, children and music.

The “Getaway” option is for the couple who wants to get married with the convenience of a courthouse elopement but with the setting and style of Belmont Mansion for the ceremony and for the photos. Just because this is a mansion does not mean that you have dress any certain way for your Getaway Elopement Ceremony. Getaway couples may be as dressed up or as casual as they want.  Couples need to arrive together and be dressed and ready for the ceremony. Changing rooms cannot be guaranteed during museum tour hours.  Please submit the Belmont Mansion Getaway Elopement Reservation Request Form 2012 to Rev. Rich or contact him with any questions. You can visit Rev. Rich’s corporate website listed below for other wedding & elopement options including other elopement venues in Nashville if the mansion is not a good fit for you. If you have your marriage license, Rev. Rich may be able to arrange an elopement ceremony on the same day that you contact him. Please call, text or email Rev. Rich with questions or to check availability.

STUDIO ELOPEMENT $100 — Reservations Required

Rev. Rich offers a very simple elopement option in his studio office at the mansion. The Studio Elopement is for the couple whose only need is to be legally married in the simplest manner possible with minimal expense.
