We are very excited that Valentine’s Day is just around the corner! Many of you visiting our website may have read a news article or seen one of our TV commercials promoting our Day of Walk-In Weddings at Belmont Mansion.
We have a whole page devoted to Valentine’s Day. Click here to check it out!
Welcome to Belmont Mansion’s Elopement page! You may be looking for options for CMA Fest 2012 Weddings, Leap Year Weddings in Nashville or maybe you want to get married in Nashville during a visit to one of Music City’s great attractions such as the Grand Ole Opry, the Schermerhorn Symphony Center, or TPAC just to name a few. Regardless of what brings you to Nashville (or even if you live here in town) if you are looking for an elopement wedding, we can help! We have three elopement options for you to consider.
ELOPEMENT PACKAGE: “Friends and Family” $500 — Reservations Required
Belmont Mansion is one of the best places to elope in Nashville, TN! In addition to our traditional wedding packages we have designed an affordable option that allows you to elope or renew your vows with a few friends and family at Belmont Mansion. This package is available during times when the mansion is not open for tours and not previously booked for traditional weddings or other events.
The mansion will provide four (4) iron candelabras and candles, one changing room, use of our grand piano, the mansion’s resident officiant, and a beautiful setting for your ceremony. The mansion’s Director of Weddings & Rentals serves as our resident officiant and will provide the couple with ceremony sample options and will customize the vows, provided there is sufficient time between the booking and the ceremony.
The couple is responsible to bring marriage license and a witness if there are no guests. Please contact the Davidson County Clerk’s office for more information regarding marraige licenses at http://nashvilleclerk.com/living/marriage-license/or call 615-862-6256. If you need to obtain a marriage license on Saturday please contact the Cheatham County Clerk at 615-792-5179 or visit them online at http://cheathamcountytn.gov/government/county_clerk/index.html .
Due to the nature and brevity of the event, floral and other decor is allowed only in small quantities, upon request. Additionally, photography/videography must be carefully planned and executed. The preferred vendor for both is www.LadakProductions.com. Their phone number is 615.589.9971 and their email is info@ladakproductions.com. Other photography/videography vendors must consult personally with the Director of Weddings & Rentals prior to the event date.
The mansion will allow a total of up to 16 seated guests in addition to the bridal party and any vendors. The mansion does not provide any additional time for rehearsal. Total time allowed (arrival to departure) is 1 hour. This includes all set-up and clean-up. Neither vendors nor bridal party may arrive prior to the scheduled time. The 1 hour allotment may be used for ceremony and photography. Photography may occur inside and outside of the mansion. We understand the nature of this type of wedding, so we will try to accommodate a couple even with one day’s notice. All elopements will be scheduled and officiated by the Director of Weddings & Rentals. Outside officiants are allowed but the full $500 fee still applies. The couple may bring a small amount of cake and punch for an additional $50. The couple may add a rehearsal or additional time to their elopement rental for an additional fee. You can download the Belmont Mansion Friends and Family Elopement Wedding Contract 2011-2012 here or visit the Documents, Reminders and FAQs page for details. Contact Rev. ELOPEMENT PACKAGE: ”Getaway” $200 — Reservations Required

Our Getaway Elopement Ceremony is for the couple who wants to marry in a beautiful setting with minimal planning and expense. Getaway ceremonies may occur any time of the day or evening, even during our regular museum tour hours, but the location of the ceremony in the mansion (or outside the mansion) and any photography will be totally at the discretion of the Director of Weddings & Rentals in accordance with the activities of the mansion, the campus and the weather. Possible interior getaway ceremony locations may include the Grand Salon bay window or stairs, or the upstairs gallery. Exterior options include the west or east gazebos, the flagstone promenade, front steps and the lawn immediately adjacent to the mansion. Getaway ceremonies are subject to the availability of the Director of Weddings & Rentals who personally schedules and officiates all of these ceremonies. Couples must contact the Director of Weddings & Rentals to confirm availability and schedule a time for their ”Getaway” elopement. No couples should arrive at the mansion unannounced expecting to get married without a confirmed appointment. Reservations are required.*
The Director of Weddings & Rentals will provide the couple with a basic religious or non-religious ceremony. Due to simplistic and brief nature of these ceremonies, no music*, decoration or food/beverage is allowed. The couple may bring up to two witnesses. If the couple is unable to provide for their own witness they should inform the Director of Weddings & Rentals prior to their arrival at the mansion. The couple must have their marriage license in hand and must pay their $200 fee upon arrival with cash, Visa, MasterCard or Discover. Due to nature of these ceremonies, only our approved media vendor www.LadakProductions.com is allowed for photography, videography and staged drive-away. Their phone number is 615.589.9971 and their email address is info@ladakproductions.com.The couple will be married and will be allowed to take some interior and exterior photographs, in accordance with the mansion’s availability, but no specific amount of time is guaranteed, but you can expect between 15 and 30 minutes for photos, subject to mansion activities. Exterior photos may be taken before or after the ceremony with more freedom than interior photos. Museum tours and other functions may proceed during “Getaway” ceremonies; this ceremony is not considered a private rental of Belmont Mansion. Privacy can only be achieved if a Getaway ceremony is scheduled well before or after museum tours on a day when no other private rentals or activities are scheduled. *Music may be allowed during times when there are no museum tours or other activities in operation, with prior approval of the Director of of Weddings & Rentals. The mansion has no audio/visual equipment other than our grand piano.
The couple is responsible to bring marriage license and a witness if there are no guests. With sufficient notice, the Director of Weddings & Rentals may be able to provide a witness. Please contact the Davidson County Clerk’s office for more information regarding marriage licenses at http://nashvilleclerk.com/living/marriage-license/ or call 615-862-6256. If you need to obtain a marriage license on Saturday please contact the Cheatham County Clerk at 615-792-5179 or visit them online at http://cheathamcountytn.gov/government/county_clerk/index.html .
The “Getaway” option is for the couple who wants to get married with the convenience of a courthouse elopement but with the setting and style of Belmont Mansion for the ceremony and for the photos. Just because this is a mansion does not mean that you have dress any certain way for your Getaway Elopement Ceremony. Getaway couples may be as dressed up or as casual as they want. Couples need to arrive together and be dressed and ready for the ceremony. Changing rooms cannot be guaranteed during museum tour hours. Please submit the Getaway Elopement Reservation Request Form to Rev. Rich or contact him with any questions. You can visit Rev. Rich’s corporate website listed below for other wedding & elopement options including other elopement venues in Nashville if the mansion is not a good fit for you. If you have your marriage license and an adult witness, Rev. Rich may be able to arrange an elopement ceremony on the same day that you contact him. Please call, text or email Rev. Rich with questions or to check availability. Also, be sure to watch the upcoming Rich Events television commercial featuring Belmont Mansion and Ladak Productions. You can preview this ad at the bottom of this page!
*Note: The Getaway Elopement is packaged differently on Valentine’s Day. See the Valentine’s Day page for details.
ELOPEMENT PACKAGE: ”Studio” $100 — Reservations Required
The studio elopement is for the couple whose only need is to be legally married. These ceremonies take place in Rev. Rich’s studio office at Belmont Mansion. Rev. Rich will use a standard elopement ceremony. No decoration, music, personal or professional photography, ministerial vestments or any other “extras” are provided or permitted. No guests are permitted other than the one adult witness, which is required for the marriage license. If the couple cannot provide for a witness they will need to notify Rev. Rich when they contact him to request a ceremony time and see if he is able to provide one. The couple must have their marriage license in hand along with the fee in cash upon arrival (no checks or credit cards). This is the simplest form of wedding ceremony available and is intended for couples whose only need is to be legally married in the simplest and least expensive manner possible. Couples wanting guests, photography, music, decorations or other available mansion amenities or to be married in a public space in the mansion should consider the “Getaway” and “Friends & Family” elopement options, or one of our traditional wedding/reception options. There is no form or contract to submit for the Studio Elopement. Please contact Rev. Rich with any questions or to schedule your studio elopement. Studio elopements are subject to Rev. Rich’s availability and may not be made offered on select holidays or other special occasions. You can review additional elopement information from Rev. Rich at www.RichEvents.org/elope. If you think you need a larger or more traditional wedding package, please be sure to visit the other sections of the Belmont Mansion weddings and rentals page of this website.
