Reserve a museum tour for your school group
Requests for all school tours are received on a first come, first serve basis. All requests must be received a minimum of 2 weeks in advance of your first preferred tour or classroom date.
Museum visits are offered 5 days a week between the hours of 8:30 AM and 4 PM. All visits are free and last one hour.
Group Size: A minimum of 10 students plus a chaperone constitutes a group. The museum will admit up to 60 students per hour and a half for guided tours (not to exceed 150 students per school, per day).
Adult Chaperones: One chaperone is required for every 15 students on a guided tour.
Reserve the Traveling Trunk for your classroom
Requests for the Traveling Trunk are received on a first come, first serve basis. All requests must be received a minimum of 2 weeks in advance of your first preferred classroom visit date.
Classroom visits are offered 5 days a week between the hours of 8 AM and 4 PM. All visits are free and last one hour.
Classroom Size: A minimum of 10 students is required to present the trunk. Teachers may combine classes.
Reserve a Guest Lecturer for your classroom
Lectures cover a variety of topics pertaining to the 19th century. Requests for a Guest Lecturer are received on a first come, first serve basis. All requests must be received a minimum of 2 weeks in advance of your first preferred classroom visit date.
Classroom visits are offered 5 days a week between the hours of 8 AM and 4 PM. All visits are free and last one hour.
Classroom Size: A minimum of 10 students is required to present the trunk. Teachers may combine classes.
