5d isnt better than the 7d as far as video goes its same quality its only a full frame sensor.... and i dont think he wants to spend twice as much on L len's mysteryguitarmans, but that may just be his colorsitz betta than da 7D.
or go for a Nikon D700.

Most of people would want you to buy 7D because in raywilliamjohnson videos, his background is blurry. Thats not true. The GH1 requires your computer to be HD, and the computer needs to be bigger. Secondly, most people watch RWJ in 360p or 480p. When they press 1080p their video will slow down, and that is because the computer is not HD. Buy 7D, i recommend, due to these problems. sorry, i went out of room. If the lighting is within the range of the GH1, I would chose the GH1. I like the 7D but it just takes a little more work to capture video with it. I like that the GH1 has the EVF and a live histogram. Also the GH1 is such a light weight package by design. The footage always looks good. So I love them both but with a nod to the GH1. If you need low light its the 7D for sure.
